Physical Education and Health
As a student, leader, health promoter and athlete, my years at the University of Toronto have fostered the skills and attitudes that will carry me through any career opportunity, any educational institution and every life experience.
My time as a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Health, as coordinator of the Student Health Outreach Program, and as media communications personnel for Leave The Pack Behind smoking cessation services on campus have taught me infinite lessons about the university community and its attitudes towards health behaviours.
I have been selected to represent University of Toronto at the American College Health Association Annual Meeting where I will preside and facilitate several important sessions.
My love for fitness has lead me to gain certification in scuba diving and aerobics instruction. My dedication to life-long higher learning and to abolishing the barriers to recreation and health care access have fueled a future in health promotion among marginalized populations.
I believe that a strong passion for sport, recreation and cooperative play is the foundation of a society’s commitment to health and well-being.
May our attitudes and our passion never cease to remind us to play...just for the love of it!
