Faculty of Medicine
The Faculty of Medicine's two submissions illustrate the weight and importance of this great medical school.

The first contribution is represented visually by a hub cap. It is often remarked that the faculty is the hub of the Toronto Academic Health Sciences Complex. The faculty brings together nine fully affiliated teaching hospitals, forming the largest health network in North America. The hospitals include: Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care, Bloorview MacMillan Children's Centre, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, the Hospital for Sick Children, Mount Sinai Hospital, St. Michael's Hospital, Sunnybrook & Women's College Health Sciences Centre, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and the University Health Network.

The second contribution is the Centre for Cellular and Biomedical Research (CCBR) at the Faculty of Medicine. Scheduled to open in 2005, the CCBR arrives at the end of the genomic revolution and represents the future of medicine. The centre, which will be based in a beautiful modern building, will house innovative research from a variety of disciplines including the biomedical, pharmaceutical, and computer sciences, physics, chemistry and chemical engineering among others. The CCBR is the first centre of its kind in Canada.
